TAMIL LEARNING CENTER LEICESTER

Objectives

The Tamil School was mainly formed to teach Tamil language and cultural subjects to the children who are deprived of this opportunity enabling them to learn and preserve the rich heritage of Tamils.

As a supplementary school we provide facilities:

• Tamil Language
• Vocal music
• Veena
• Violin
• Mridangam
• Flute
• Bharatanatyam dance
• Cultural concerts & special religious days celebrations. Assist local authority in translation, multi-cultural programmes and community matters.
• Timing

Every Saturday classes are run on Saturdays 4pm till 6pm at Tamil Kalvikoodam Leicester, Abbey Primary Community School 109 Ross Walk, Leicester LE4 5HH Students of age groups 4 to 19, mainly Tamil community and few from Gujarati and English origins use the facilities. Everyone is well come to join the school.

The number of students currently enrolled with the school is around 120.
